FAQ

Do you charge a fee for your services?

Yes – I charge a fee for arranging your mortgage. My fee structure is fully transparent and explained upfront, so there are no surprises later on. Plus, 10% of my fee is donated to Kidscape — a charity that supports children and families.

Can you help if I’m a first-time buyer?

Absolutely. Buying your first home can feel daunting, but I’ll guide you through every stage — from confirming your affordability to getting your keys. I’ll explain everything in plain English, so you always feel confident and informed.

What types of mortgages can you arrange?

I offer advice across a full range of mortgage options — including first-time buyer, remortgage, home mover, buy-to-let, and specialist products. My role is to find the right solution for your individual needs.

Can you help me find a solicitor or a surveyor?

Yes. I work closely with a network of trusted solicitors and surveyors who provide a reliable, professional service. Whether you’d like me to recommend someone or prefer to use your own, I’ll make sure the process runs smoothly and everyone stays coordinated.

Where are you based?

I'm based in Bristol and can offer face-to-face appointments locally. However, no matter where you are in the UK, I can still assist with your mortgage needs. Most of my appointments are now held via Microsoft Teams, so you'll still receive a personal and tailored service, wherever you're located.

Do you offer protection and insurance advice?

Yes. I can help you arrange life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection — ensuring your home and family are financially secure if the unexpected happens. Protecting your mortgage is just as important as getting it.

Can you help if I have bad credit or complex income?

Yes. Many clients assume they won’t qualify, but there are often more options than you might think. I work with a wide panel of lenders, including those who specialise in more complex cases.

How long does the mortgage process take?

It varies depending on the lender and your situation, but typically takes around 2–6 weeks from application to offer. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way so you always know what’s happening.

Why should I use a mortgage adviser instead of going direct to a bank?

As a whole of market adviser, I have access to a wide range of lenders and products — not just one bank’s limited range. That means I can find the most suitable deal for your needs and handle all the legwork on your behalf.

Can you help with remortgaging?

Yes. Whether you’re coming to the end of a fixed rate or want to raise funds for home improvements, I’ll help you review your options and secure a competitive new deal.

How do I get started?

Simply get in touch for an initial chat — there’s no obligation. We’ll discuss your goals, review your situation, and outline the next steps to move things forward confidently.
